Seeing as American demands were totally unreasonable through the Hull note a still Military strong Japan unfortunately could only take the 1st option. America provoked the war Japan only initiated it. As for the bombs that issue is too controversial to discuss here.

the japs attacked first becausethe us had frozen their bank funds,& had stopped trade with them. alsoo,because they wanted to take over a part of asia and knew that americans wouldnt let that happen so they bombed them!(:
