Though of very high … Though of very high quality, the German tanks had another disadvantage – They were overly complex – Particularly if they needed to be repaired.
Yeah… How to say … Yeah… How to say it? It’s a myth. First of all, read some books on the topic (for example the “Sledgehammers”) about Tiger battalions. Second… 70-80% would have been great even for the Allies. And it didn’t take 3 days in a shop to replace the transmission on a Sherman… it took 3 hours on the field.
Actually King Tiger … Actually King Tiger readiness for combat was about 70%-80%, as most of german tanks, it was even better than the panther tank, since they were carefully treated and manteined.
This ” … This “quantity-quality” thing is getting on my nerves. The German Tiger/King Tiger weren’t “quality”. Their tactical and operational mobility was practically zero. Big gun, good optics, and very thick armor -that’s it. They also tended to burn out from a roadmarch, and their combat readiness was about 50-60% most of the time. They might have been great contructs, but they weren’t very good weapons. Just like the Dora gun, for example.
yeah US tanks were … yeah US tanks were too basic and bulky the germans new how to use tanks…But the Japanese Imperial Tanks were by far the worst they were basiciallly thin pieces of metal nailed together with a cannon trough the middle

The problem with … The problem with these authors, of course, is that the vast majority of them are academics with no experience in the real world. In order to justify their existence, they have to devise elaborate conspiracies that supposedly fit nicely around world altering events. If I had that kind of time – and naturally taxpayer dollars to support my research – I too could come up with some elaborate theory to explain 9/11 or a myriad of other significant events.
