It was written amid the chaos of the American Civil War, and since it’s conception has been an important part of our country’s soul. When sung beautifully, it often brings tears to the eyes of real Americans.

They were one of the main reasons war started in the first place.
They helped Germany invade Poland and even contributed to the killing of millions of Jews.
After WWII, they blocked our attempts to restore the more Eastern parts of Germany.

The riflemen on the front lines, the paratroopers in enemy territory, the pilots and seamen, the farmer who decided enough was enough, they won the war… WE won the war. I was born and raised in Alabama and I love my country but I understand that it was our unity and cooperation that won.
